Tweite's farm was founded in 1910, and spans over five generations. The land was used primarily to raise dairy cattle and grain until it was converted to a family entertainment farm in 1988 by Tom and Colleen Tweite, who own and operate the farm today.
The Tweite's have four daughters. Nichole and her husband Tim are both teachers, and have a son named Sawyer and a daughter named Matisse.
Danielle works as an HR Staffing Specialist at Mayo Clinic. She is married to Scott, who works at Tweite's Pumpkin Patch as the "Director of Fun", and they have a son named Conner and a daughter named Corah. Molly is a domestic engineer who is married to a civil engineer, Adam and they have a daughter named Grace. Maggie, the youngest, is employed at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.
In addition to developing and maintaining the 22 acres of amusements, Tom and Colleen enjoy a full and active life in the community.
Tom serves on the Kalmar Township board and on the Faith Lutheran Church Council, and has served on the Byron school board in past years. Both are involved in their church and community, and Colleen pursues her interests in quilting and reading, when time allows.
"So many families have shared with us that we have become their favorite family farm or school group destination. We truly appreciate and we are grateful for your kind words. We're proud that we have been making memories since 1988 and hope to continue to bring joy and laughter to you and your family."
Mission statement: Our purpose at Tweite's Pumpkin Patch is to enrich the lives of all children and their families by providing wholesome family fun for the young and young at heart.
