Field Trips

Grades K-8, PreSchool, ECFE & Daycare

Listening to many of our educators and program Directors, Tweite’s Pumpkin Patch has completely revamped the field trip program. Some of our new offerings include new educational areas, access to multiple lesson plans (meeting Minnesota academic standards) and the opportunity to visit all the areas of the farm.

School Tours now available Monday thru Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
October: 4—8th ,Oct. 11—15th  and Oct. 18—20th

This year, in place of the presentation on how a pumpkin grows from a seed, we hired an education specialist to write up curriculum for our farm. We have addressed the areas of math, science, and language arts due to the state testing in these areas. Each lesson includes the state standards met by that particular lesson plan. They can be used in preparation, during, and after your visit to Tweite’s Pumpkin Patch. Our focus this year was grades K-8, and these three subjects with the intent to add more in the coming years.*
